Velo Bavarian, situated in Milford, Derbyshire, is a bike shop with some of the biggest cycling brands from around the world.

We take pride in every bike we build and service, and are proud to offer a personal and friendly service to the local cycling community and beyond.

We have a huge variety of bikes, components and accessories for your bike as well as quality clothing, shoes and helmets to chose from. All of the brands we stock are tried and tested and ultimately as cyclists, get us excited! Whatever brand you may buy from us has been carefully selected and has our full backing. If we do not have what you’re looking for we will do our utmost to source it, as building long-lasting relationships is at the heart of what we do.

  • Luke at Velo Bavarian

    Luke

    Luke is here to make up the numbers. Carried massively by Jimmy and Matt, the only thing he is good for is making the odd reel and pumping up tyres. Although, he does buy the coffee most of the time.

  • Matt at Velo Bavarian

    Matt

    Matt brings a wealth of experience to VB. A passionate, lifelong cycling fan as well as dedicated, professional triathlon coach, he has great knowledge in all aspects the cycling trade.

    As well as a well-renowned coach, Matt is also a high achieving athlete in his own right - competing in many races around the world including Iron distance events.

    Matt is the glue which holds the shop together, working hard every day to ensure our customers leave happy.

    We are growing our multi-sport offering; if you want to know more about triathlon bikes or training, speak to Matt.

  • Jimmy at Velo Bavarian

    Jimmy

    Jimmy fell in love with cycling around 10, started competing (triathlon) at 11, joined a cycling club at 12 and at 14 started working part-time in his local bike shop.

    By 18 Jimmy was a professional triathlete. He held his pro license for seven years whilst competing for GB and getting on some world-class podiums. Jimmy is now part of the Movistar E-Team, has ridden with Alejandro Valverde (IRL), and recently represented GB at the World Champs in Glasgow.

    Service Manager Jimmy now holds over 13 years trade experience and is a Shimano qualified, Cytech level 3 mechanic.
