2025 Membership - Why Become a VB Member?💭

Our goal has always been simple, create a platform for as many local cyclists as possible to ride their bikes and meet new people.

The VB community enables our members to meet like-minded people, who can lean on each other for advice, company and friendship, on and off the bike. This is why we put so much effort into organising social rides, runs and events.

You can become a member of Velo Bavarian for the equivalent of just £5 per month and gain full access to all of our runs, rides and events. Members also experience amazing perks in store, which can be viewed here.

Whether you want to join for our social activities, represent Team VB at your next bike race or triathlon, or just be a part of our welcoming community - we have a membership for you.

In 2025 we will have THREE different activity formats:

SOCIAL 

A more leisurely pace for our runs and rides! Rides will almost always have a café stop, and plenty of opportunity to chat to other members. The whole idea of our social activities/events is to meet new people, and enjoy the benefits of group exercise.

• Café Rides
• Run Club
• Gravel Rides
• Special Events at the Shop 
• Club/Member Social Events (not in lycra!)

TRAINING

Harder and more challenging, our training sessions will be a chance for our members to test themselves or get a good workout in. These could include:

• VB Wednesday Worlds (Fast Ride)
• Structured/coached sessions such as our Darley Moor track days.
• Scheduled challenges such as Bank Holiday Bash (100 Mile Team Time Trial).

WOMEN ONLY

Female led activities, aimed at boosting participation and creating a welcoming, friendly community of like-minded women in sport.

• Runs and rides led by women, for women.
• Guest female speakers at the shop and on rides/runs.
• A welcoming community.
• Social (non lycra) events and meet-ups!

Our members also get incredible discounts in store, and if you use us for servicing or buying parts/accessories then the PREMIUM membership works out extremely cost effective.

RACE TEAM

We proudly have one of the biggest race teams in the UK, which means there are more like-minded people to ride/race with!

In 2025 there will be two men's cycling squads and a women's cycling squad AND a new multi-sport/triathlon squad. 

We are PROUD to say our race team continues to provide opportunity to get into racing, have fun and achieve your potential, with the support and guidance of all of us at VB. We have opened doors for numerous riders to move onto teams competing at a higher level, so we will continue to help anyone wanting to progress or just enjoy being part of a fun, dynamic team.

Some of the above activities/events will be OPEN TO ALL, as we are still committed to being as inclusive as possible. So, there will still be FREE social rides/runs etc for non-members, you just have to fill out our waiver to join!

A huge amount of effort goes into our membership offering as we want to give back as much as possible to our community, so get involved! If any of the above sounds appealing to you, feel free to get in touch or come along and try one of our free activities/events!
