Where do I start with my Pinarello F7 review?
I've not been cycling a massively long time, but ever since I started, I always loved the look of Pinarello bikes. Earlier this year, in July (2024), I was lucky enough to become a Pinarello ambassador and I got a Razor Red F7 with Ultegra Di2.
I instantly loved how it looked and couldn't wait to get out and test it. The first couple of rides I did were a 200km and then the following weekend a 600km ride...I didn't break it in lightly! Being a long-distance rider, I was intrigued to see how it would fare. I had this image of it being a race bike and not comfy but how wrong was I?! It's an absolute all-rounder; feeling fast, stiff, but still so comfortable.
Since getting the Pinarello F7 I've clocked around 6000 miles (in 3 months), including a 2000km ride from Italy to the UK, a 1000km ride across France and the National 24hr TT and I have nothing but good things to say about my bike. The geometry seems to fit me perfectly, the integrated cockpit, Ultegra Di2 gears, MOST carbon wheels and the T900 carbon frameset all seem to just make up an absolute dream of a bike. I was initially worried about the Di2 battery for all the long rides, wondering whether it would last, but that fear was soon put to bed when I didn't even need to charge it at all during the 2000km ride back from Italy!
I did have concern about how it would cope with putting a Tailfin rack and pannier bags on, as the bike isn't really designed for that. But I used it for all my bikepacking trips and its been absolutely fine, even dragging me and the weight all the way up Alpe D'huez!
My favourite things about the Razor Red Pinarello F7 are firstly how it looks (I always used to look at people riding Pinarello's in awe and now I have one!) and its handling into corners and descents; I've never ridden a bike that makes me feel so confident and that makes it a joy.
Overall I don't want to ride any other bike, it's just too good - although it probably needs to go away for winter as I don't want to get it dirty!
