BMC TEAMMACHINE 58CM SLR SEVEN DISC ROAD BIKE

Balancing the important attributes of aerodynamics, stiffness, compliance and weight, the BMC Teammachine 58cm SLR SEVEN Disc Road Bike makes a great case for itself as a fast-paced bike for long rides and sportives.

The carbon frame and fork are stiff where it matters for efficient power transfer, but compliant elsewhere for improved comfort, with the tube shapes and fork profile adding more than a nod towards reducing drag. Neat touches like the ICS (integrated cockpits system), internal cable routing and flush seatpost clamp all provide a clean, wind-cheating aesthetic, whilst the one-sided Stealth Dropout Design is particularly eye-catching.

Shimano’s 105 hydraulic brakes and drivetrain are well known for their great value functionality and performance, shifting easily across the wide-range cassette and providing plenty of power when it’s time to slow down. Shallow rims ensure that blustery crosswinds aren’t an issue, and if the 25mm Vittoria Zaffiro Pro tyres aren’t quite wide enough, then the frame and fork have sufficient clearance to take 30mm wide rubber for enhanced comfort.
