Wireless technology comes courtesy of SRAM and Rival, their latest eTap AXS system, which brings intuitive 12-speed shifting for a wider range and smaller jumps between gears. The hydraulic disc brakes create a confidence-inspiring experience through pinpoint control and reach adjustment. Using the AXS app, you can customise the groupset’s functions according to personal preferences.
The carbon frame and fork are optimised for aerodynamics, with TCC (Tuned Compliance Concept) Speed improving power transfer and reducing rolling resistance, and the TCC Speed fork slices through the air while still offering enough vertical compliance for a comfortable ride. The finishing kit and accessories are also tuned for speed. ICS (Integrated Cockpit System) Aero minimises the frontal surface area and offers plenty of adjustability for a dialled in position, while the aero seatpost uses a Kamm tail profile. There’s an Integrated Aero Cover on the front brake caliper, and all cables are internally routed for clean lines. Hydration and storage are brought together into a single, seamless Aero Module that’s tucked out of the wind.
The Timemachine Road 01 THREE rolls on 50mm deep BMC CRD-501 carbon disc wheels, which are stiff, strong, and stable even on windy days. The 25mm wide Vittoria Corsa tyres roll fast and smooth and deliver plenty of protection against punctures.
